One of the best readings on Librivox! She expresses a lot of emphasis and articulation. Classic work of Fitzgerald.

Fizgerald's novel tells the story of Anthony Patch, whose life is characterized by a general laziness and inertia. The book traces, at very great length, with much repetition of a not particularly profound subtle psychological analysis and numerous dissertations, the course of his mental, moral and physical disintegration. Many thanks to Mrs Tavano for her lively and precise reading of the book. Her recording will delight amateurs of American literature for many hours.

great narration. few pronunciation mistakes like banal. I like this story for addressing the depravity of a paid for life. certain metaphors are so beautiful, but not all of them are of the same level of impact. the fragmented style that lends itself to the offering metaphors calms down in the second half and it becomes a very direct narrative, feels like it races towards the end in part 3. overall it's great 👍

A tragic and immensely moving work.

All I will say here is that I was hooked from start to finish and to any young person reading this for gods sake do something with your life and dont end up like Anthony and Gloria. The narration was exquisite perhaps the best I have ever come across on Librovox she particularly brought the character of Gloria to life. Really professional and next level reading.
