Parley Baer appearances highlighted at Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention 2022


These are radio programs that actor Parley Baer was associated with. The Whistler 1947-04-14 Maid of Honor includes Baer doubling at about 7 minutes and again about 22 minutes (plays a phone repairman) in his first appearance on the series. He was uncredited. Three special Gunsmoke episodes that highlighted his talent and character, Chester Proudfoot Never Pester Chester Marshal Proudfoot Marryin' Bertha Three Count of Monte Cristo shows from Mutual. This series was Baer's most reliable radio gig until Gunsmoke . Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar , where a character is named "Parley Baron" as an inside joke by producer/director/writer Jack Johnstone. Unfortunately, his starring role in Family Theater of 1950-03-29 as PT Barnum is not circulating, and may not have survived.
